The day almost got away from me yesterday, as it so often does, before I could sit down and meditate. I joined a 21 day meditation challenge that a friend had introduced to me. The number 21 keeps popping up a lot lately in my life. Seems that the number 21 is how many days it takes to create a habit, therefore 21 is a very appropriate number of days for this challenge. I meditated to Shaki Gawain for about 20 minutes at around 9:30pm. I started to either drift off to sleep or into a meditative state that I could not tell. I had stopped because my mind interefered and got the better of me. See, my grandmother just found out that the apartment building she lived in has an bedbug infestation, and, unfortunatly, her apartment has become infested. (This problem has been reocurring for the past 2 years). She is sleeping on her couch in her living, had to get rid of her bed that she shared with my grandfather (who has been dead 15 years), and she is living out of bags until they "bomb" her apartment. She will be living like this until March 11. I spoke with her last night and she was so upset. I am so worried about her. I know I could send her positive energy and healing through meditation, but I did not think of that. I panicked thinking about her and I came to. Then I thought what if I have bedbugs? My cats were going crazy on my bed looking like they were hunting for something. I had my husband tear our bead apart looking for them. Alas! No bugs. Duh!
My mind was just too preocuppied to meditate yesterday. The scent of nag champa still hangs in the air as do my intentions and my energy lingers from last night's meditation. I am still a neophyte when it comes to meditation and I know with time and with practice, just like anything, I will become a novice. 21 days. 21 days.
Today I begin my day with a Vitamineral Green smoothie. I will track my energy levels later.
Good day!
Love and light

wow Bree. I had the same problem last night! I couldn't meditate. I kept telling myself it is okay. I am relearning how to do this and just like you wrote, it is practice. Sorry to hear about the bed bugs! I hope your grandma is okay.
